We see happiness surrounding River and mystery surrounding Maverick. This novella gives us more of Lavender’s twin, River, and the other kids who are grown now, and wonderful snippets of their lives. They know when to have fun but also when to be real and this couple remains a fave! Lavender and Kody’s relationship is fantastic and I love that they know exactly what they want and aren’t afraid the ask for it. When it comes to these characters, we get more of the laughs, the steam, the swoon, and the heart we have come to expect and love.
